16 year old Jef Vandorpe has been named ‘Most promising talent’ of the year 2017 by Tennis Vlaanderen (tennis federation).
The Hopiness’ talent is ranked second on the ITF Junior Wheelchair ranking and 26 with the professionals, which makes him the highest ranked player of his age in both rankings.
This year Jef won the professional tournaments of Padova, Middelburg, Antwerp, Leuven and Biel-Bienne. In addition, he also won the doubles tournament in Ath. In the junior series he was the best in the tournaments of Knokke, Velp, Antwerp and the singles and doubles tournament in Rue.
Jef is also nominated for ‘Most promising talent’ of 2017 at the Tennisplaza België/Belgique Awards. You can still vote for hem on tbawards.be.
